Gnōxist dress combines three influences: Cholo streetwear, Trojan Skinhead style and the practical military WWI legacy of the Puttees. The core look is simple: washed dark T-shirt, oversized work shirt, regular-fit denim, puttees and boots.

Colours remain mostly black, charcoal, grey, dark denim and muted tones, with limited accents. Individual expression comes through hair, tattoos, jewellery, piercings, dark make-up and small personal details, while the overall silhouette remains recognisably Gnōxist.

WWI - MEMORY & PREPAREDNESS

Puttees connect three Gnōxist values: memory, preparedness and anti racist symbols. They recall the soldiers of the First World War, mud, hardship, sacrifice of brothers in humanity , while reminding us that peace and stability are never guaranteed. For Gnōx, puttees are not decoration. They symbolize respect for the past and readiness for uncertainty.

TROJAN SKINHEAD — DISCIPLINE & UNSUBMISSION

I chose the Trojan Skinhead influence because of its working-class roots, simplicity and refusal to submit to polished mainstream culture. What attracts me is not racism, but the original image of a hard, practical and recognisable working-class style. The shaved head represents unsubmission: no need to hide behind fashion, status or appearances. It is direct, functional and difficult to fake.

Boots represent work, durability and preparedness. They come from working-class and street culture, where function matters more than decoration. For Gnōx, boots symbolize readiness, discipline and practical strength. The look stays simple, grounded and recognizable.

CHOLO — IDENTITY & LOYALTY

I chose the Cholo influence because it represents something Gnōxism values strongly: identity that is visible, lived and carried with pride. The oversized work shirt, tattoos, jewellery and strong visual presence come from a culture where clothing is not just decoration. It can communicate belonging, loyalty, neighbourhood, family and personal history. That is the part that interests me.

Gnōxism also rejects the idea that people should become culturally anonymous or interchangeable. A community becomes stronger when its members know where they stand, recognise each other and are not ashamed to carry a visible identity. The Cholo influence therefore represents belonging, loyalty and resilience. It adds a human and personal dimension to the more disciplined working-class elements of the dress code.

PERSONAL EXPRESSION

PUNK / GOTH / TECHNO / ...

The Gnōxist dress code should be recognisable, but it should never make everyone look identical. The basic structure creates a shared identity, while hair, make-up, jewellery, tattoos, patches, piercings and other personal details remain open to individual expression. This freedom allows different influences to naturally mix with the core dress code and may even create new combinations that make the Gnōxist style more authentic over time. The only principle is that personal expression should not completely erase the common visual language. Individuality is encouraged, but recognisability remains part of our identity.
