Why Counter Jihad?
Because violent jihad is only the most visible form of Islamist extremism.
Influence can also move through preaching, lobbying, institutional pressure, censorship demands, social intimidation, parallel norms and attempts to make criticism of religion socially or legally untouchable.
We refuse to ignore those mechanisms simply because they are non-violent.
But we also refuse lazy conspiracy theories.
Every claim must be documented.
Every organization must be judged by what it actually says and does.
Every accusation must survive evidence.
Our opposition is directed at jihadist and Islamist ideas, organizations and strategies — not at Muslims as an ethnicity or population.
A Muslim who rejects theocracy, religious coercion and jihadism is not our enemy.
